Tree for Survival Planting Day

On Wednesday 22nd June students from Year 5 and 6 travelled to Clevedon to plant native trees as part of the Trees for Survival programme.

We had been growing these at school since last September. We had nurtured these plants to turn them from tiny seedlings into small trees now over 30cm tall.

We planted karamu, cabbage trees, flax, mahoe and manuka.

We also visited the trees we planted last year which was a big highlight.

The students also enjoyed feeding the eels, seeing the horses and playing with the farm dogs.
